I work in federal law enforcement and am on a Special Response Team, so physical fitness is paramount to my livelihood, as I have to pass annual fitness tests as well as the day to day physical demands. I herniated a disc in my lower back and was on light duty for months. After being released from physical therapy, my physical therapist put me in touch with Matt. Matt trained me in mobility, strength and conditioning from January until March. I took my fitness test in March and ran a mile and a half in 8:27. Previous to my injury, the fastest I ever ran that test is 9:40 (mind you, I weigh 225lbs). In addition to the exponential development in my conditioning, my strength has seen substantial improvement. I look forward to continuing to working with Matt to increase my strength. Matt is a wealth of knowledge and is a great person. He is well versed in many aspects of fitness, as he has been there and done that, and is always educating himself on the new science and techniques regarding nutrition and physical fitness. If you have a goal, I 100% believe Matt can get you to surpass it!

I’ve been working with Coach Matt for 7 months now for competitive boxing. He is one of the most knowledgeable coaches that I’ve met. He knows the science behind his craft and genuinely cares about helping his clients. Not only has he helped me improve my physical performance but he also put me through the healthiest weight cut that I’ve done for a fight! I was well hydrated and energized. It was done the simplest and most effective way. The most important thing that I took from this was that I did not binge like I’ve done in the past after a fight. I only ate foods that I really wanted to until I was satisfied and my body craved for healthier options the rest of the day. Before, I would’ve shoved everything in one day for the next few days. This is a major breakthrough for me since I used to be a HUGE HUGE emotional eater. To have this control and for my body to naturally crave for better options, is a WIN! Thanks Coach!

Matt is an amazingly talented personal trainer who I would recommend highly. In the year that I’ve worked with him, my overall body strength and mobility have increased substantially. Not only do I feel stronger, I can very easily move through my day with an ease that is empowering. One story I often tell is having enough upper body strength so I can now lift my own roller bag suitcase up and into the overhead bins on airplanes smoothly, no help needed from anyone else! He obviously has a lot of training experience and brings that knowledge to bear with every session. Meanwhile, I have an ongoing issue with my ankle and knees, and he’s been excellent at tailoring my workouts to avoid pain or injury to those joints, while still making the exercise challenging. Also, he always comes to our sessions with a positive attitude that makes workouts fun! If you have the opportunity to have him as your trainer, seize it!

I worked with Matt with the goal of increasing muscle, losing body fat, and increasing my overall health. I had worked with several trainers in the past, but Matt is by far the most knowledgeable and passionate of them all. He absolutely practices what he preaches and is constantly educating himself on the latest science-based research, always coming to our sessions with a new technique, stretch, or breathing exercise to help improve my performance and recovery. Our HIIT sessions were always killer, and I found myself getting stronger and stronger week over week, while still optimizing for mobility. Not only is he amazing at what he does, but he has a calm presence and is a wonderful person. 10/10 would recommend :)
